Yes can confirm flurries in my area, scattered at the moment as it is only scattered precip ahead of this evenings front but its definately snow. Cant see any snow here tomorrow but potential for some off the N/Nwly later on tomorrow into tuesday

you never know what the weather gods can do...keep the faith haha :)

I would suspect that most people will see a little snow tonight as the first band pushes through pushing South Eastwards, but this then reverting back to rain later, quickly in western areas, possibly staying as snow longer in the east.

The 2nd front for tomorrow is now set to be more intense than modelled yesterday, but the temps do look a bit milder, which unfortunately reduces snow potential . However with dew point only just above freezing some higher areas may well get something, as upper temps are still well below freezing.

Monday into Tuesday looks promising for a wintry showers+ streamer on a NW wind.

As for longer term models, not looking as good today, this is seemingly following a trend, one day good, one day bad,

However looking cold, frosty and hopefully Sunny until Friday, and probably until weekend (possibly at least)

The Atlantic will then possibly attempt to take over, with a number of outcomes ,

1. A clear Atlantic win,

2. A battleground scenario

3. The High Pressure sinking away to South East

4. An undercut leading to an enhanced Easterly. (if Energy goes to SE)

At this stage the return of the mild is a lot further back than originally suggested and there remains the chance of breakdown snow event.,

Shows you how uncertain they are i am pleased with the final part of the warning ,

and it is quite possible that the Alert will be upgraded to an amber Warning if confidence increases.

Temp is 1.0c here and rising fast... really don't want much more of an increase if we are to see snow in a few hours. Suspect maybe just see a bit on the leading edge and then mostly rain/sleet, but you never know, fingers crossed.

Should be snowing in Snowdonia now hopefully.

Trouble with the radar is that is often shows snow but nothing is falling out of the sky. Does anyone know why this happens?
