Three Counties & East Anglia Regional Discussion - January 14th 2013>

Snowangel-MK

Recommended Posts

Precipitation looks like it's far more intense MK and northwards, the snow down here is pretty light with some more moderate bursts. In the lighter stuff it turns back to sleet/rain, and nothing settling. Based on what I'm currently seeing unless the southern part intensifies, I think the southern parts of this region will miss out on the best, with areas like Cambridge & Peterborough being in line for the best of it.

After about 45 mins of lights snow, it stopped for about 15 mins. Now it's started again. I'm right on the edge of the heavy stuff so expect it to pep up a bit very soon

Getting heavier again, and appears to be settling a bit. No idea what's going to happen now, especially whether it'll start settling significantly.

Dont think it will settle on the roads....too wet surely?

This wasnt meant to be this heavy until later....it looks like its moving quite quickly on the radar....need it to stall...PLEASEEEEE

Still snowing nicely in Central Eastern MK.

Not sticking to gritted roads as the flakes are fairly big and wet - but building up a little everywhere else.

Forecasts suggests it will stall over East Midlands and East Anglia - hence additional warnings for our areas. Update days most "many places" in the amber warning "Look likely to see 5-10cms".

Still snizzling out there.
