As the front hits the colder air,It will slow it down,Dont forget we have an increasing wind chill factor kicking in through the day so imaged temps of say 1 to 3 will feel like minus 3 to 5 maybe more. The snow fall amounts wont be going anywhere soon as the temps are set to get much colder over night. Also there are more snow events predicted through the week. Very interesting times ahead. Enjoy.

How comes you got sleet mate?

St Albans herts it's snowing moderate. And we are not a million miles from you

Sun's gone in and I'm thinking here it comes. Still have a nice base layer ready for the main course and despite an hour or two's sunshine it's hardly melted. Looking good.

Met office has just placed my area in the Amber Warning section. I think this might be to warn us about the possible effects of sunstroke.

Aye, the UV could cause us a few problems, too?

Met Office warnings have been updated, with the Amber warning now extended down into much of the region

5-10cms their estimates now...that looks a little more realistic based upon the current radar

Snow shield? It's trying to turn to snow now, more and more blobs of snow mixed in with the sleet.

Why visit a weather forum and ignore all the info?

There's a radar link here: http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ that makes it pretty obvious why it's sunny in your part of the world.. The fronts not even close to you yet, and never was meant to be for a good few hours yet, which means you're much more likely to get snow because it'll fall at dusk/night when temps are lower.

I'm at 360ft with sleet/rain.

To answer your question. I visit the weather forum to LEARN about weather and I'm STILL learning. On the last run it said snow for approx' 06:00am. I thought that was how it would happen. And..thank you I know where the radar is.

Please do not be sarcastic..I do not appreciate it and its not really necessary.

Beautiful big fluffy flakes here - snowing heavily. We're right on the border of pink and green on the radar though...

Starting to snow again very lightly, it's starting! :D

I'm now just inside the Amber warning, the warnings are now nearly identicle to my own ones on my weather page!

Stay safe, friend, and don the factor 30.

No snow here in Ipswich yet, but we have gone from clear sky's and sunshine to a bit more of breeze, a few more puffs of cloud and no more sun,

It's really like waiting for Christmas morning today!, I'm all stocked up and ready for the snow!
