Bbc London weather latest forecast had NO snow after today's all week

Bad news - and I'm not one to slag of the BBC just because they don't show what I want - but they have already been very wrong so far, so hope springs eternal ;-)

well the heavy snow turned to slush mix...

So im here up in the alpine village of bluebell picnic area, one of the highest elevations in kent.

Its sleet and snow even at this height.

So its game over for now for south of the thames, but we did expect that.

Its been fun. Hoping for a dusting later when we dry out....

Going to be difficult though.

Still expectations of seeing a covering this week... Very cold all week and possibly beyond if you take the ukmo raw....

Was v light grainy snow in Epsom Surrey but now dizmal drizzle Hoping we get a chance of some more snow later if the front is still about and temps dip....who knows - it would seem that's nobody then, lol?!!x

Snizzle at best, it's currently light drizzle to snizzle in Ashford.

Cant believe how localised this event is! Even if it does turn back t snow here today it wont settle as the place is soaking from all the drizzle

Brief summery why anything can happen when forecasting snow and why it's so hard:

Last night - Forecast:

"snow will not reach south east, will die out no covering"

Actual:

0.5-2cms across the whole region.

Today: forecast:

"Rain with only north London seeing a flake"

Actual:

Snow pretty much across the whole region. Did not settle in many places.

yes. That goes down as two fails for BBC London News. I do have sympathy yet nevertheless it's still a nil points so far

Surprisingly it turned back to moderate wet snow here in Egham. may be a little rain mixed in though hard to tell from my window, was quite heavy briefly with big flakes. Not settling though as expected.

Snow will turn readily to rain south of the thames. snow tonight for anybody south of the thames and just east of london out to the coast. possible accumalations of 2 or 3 cms. light snow showers filtering in of the coast on tuesday, possible heavier shower, wednesday chance of little more organised snow but only slight accumalations.

I am based in north west kent and i forsee our best chance of snow and snow cover from the tail later this eve

It does seem so unfair that we've really had to wait for this cold weather, been teased already and were always of the opinion "get tge cold in first" and now its here, ppn is still falling as sodding rain! Still...the proper cold has only just arrived so I guess there's still time but its just a v v frustrating wait, lol!x
