doesnt look good for me area sad.png

Seemed ok to me, based on Ian F's forecast.

Not sure to be honest.

I think you'll get some but it may eventually turn to rain for the briefest of periods and thats only after a half decent dumping over most parts of your region.

It could all change as well, but confidence is certainly building.

For those in Devon, and cornwall for that matter, David on spotlight said some large accumulations over Dartmoor.... So you are all welcome for a cup of tea and a play in the snow!! I am hoping it stays as snow up here and not turn to rain.... But we will see.

Very good, where are you?

I saw that forecast and the white bit was over Plymouth, my theory is computer got it wrong and the snow will be a good few miles to the west!!! Prob won't be able to get to prince town for a cuppa!!!

Just down the road then!! I think altitude is on our side here.... Probably won't get as much as the eastern counties of our region but looking to get something at least.

Any reports from Devon, showing as some light snow in the region, according to NW v6 radar. friends.gif

I have a car named after me? smile.png

I did think that when I wrote it LOL!!smile.png It stands for All Wheel Drive!!! As opposed to 4WD. All wheel drive means that all four wheels are always in action, a four wheel drive car/SUV usually has an option to switch from two wheel drive to four wheel drive!

I can say that his car is MIGHTY in the snow though, never got stuck in it, even with inches of snow on the ground.

Only thing I found a little strange with Ian's forecast is snow totals seemed a little low for nearly 24 hours of snow 5-10cm is amazing but over 24 hours? surely we could get more?

Haha!! Good point.... I would rule your area out just yet. Forecasts all over the place. I saw 2 different forecasts from 2 different BBC presenters this morning.

Looks like a warm one tonight if the cloud doesn't move over, currently -0.1C

Ha ha, -0.1c warm and for Dorset too.

Did you know, there is possibly some snow coming your way Db. pleasantry.gif

Ditto.

I thought that as well.

Seems like we've entered the "just wait and see" period now.

Another 24 hrs before we firm up on the exact boundary between cold and less cold i suspect.

Must admit things now looking good for a bit of snow, even for me living right on the south of the iow. I must also say I wish we had a forecaster like Ian Ferguson on south today, Alexis Green is o.k but not a patch on Ian.

Enjoy the snow all it is coming!! A note of caution for the elderly though must be awful for them.

Can't wait to lamp post watching on Friday morning.

Haha!! I am pretty sure I would lose a very important part of my anatomy for a very long time.

Talking of snow depths, 2 inches is plenty, my missus tells me all the time. happy.png

I think they said about 10cm's for here - Although I'm hoping for a bit more. :p I remember January 2010 saw us get about 6 inches of snow. I wonder if we will get that again? :D
