18Z GFS has 30 hours of snow- then a 12 hour break- before another 12/18 hours of snow pushing up from the south-

Which is slightly further west on the 18z capturing more of the region-

round 1 estimates 8-13cm.

round 2 estimates ( yet to firm up- 3-7)

Yes you'll be in one of the better placed areas for tomorrow, I'd say up to 4 inches (10cm) is possible for you tomorrow, going off met updates and latest NAE.

There is heavier stuff about to the north west but it keeps losing intensity a bit before it reaches you or me unfortunately!

Edit: Like Ben says tomo looks good though. smile.png

some agreement that sunday evening/late afternoon could see another shot of snow working in from the se. Even darren 'mild' bett mentioned it n the 9-30 n24

saw this on the GFS, hope it comes off!

Interestingly the ECM precipitation charts show a similar feature, though develop it mainly to the north of the region, more affecting NE of England. Certainly could happen, but a case of where I suppose. Still got tomorrow and Saturday first!

The Kesgrave "Blob Deflector Shield" is down....light snow.

Looks like the Blob has been on the late night snacks.

Incidentally, latest NAE is a lot better for much of this region vs 12z, with the heavier parts of the snowfall across us for some 18hrs:

13011818_2_1718.gif13011900_2_1718.gif13011906_2_1718.gif

Still nothing hugely intense (indicated intensity there is 1-2cm per 6 hrs, though not entirely sure that will be accurate) but better than it has been, and getting better with each run

According to friends in Woodbridge they haven't got a huge amount. Leiston looks good....although it looks as if Felixestowe will get a pummeling soon.

Looks as if the blob is gaining intensity again now....maybe pulling moisture off that light stuff to the west, or may be due to the strengthening wind.

We only have around an inch or so settled here. Radar blob right over us but not snowing at the moment. sorry.gif
