Welcome from lovely Banff Onyerseljose.

Look forward to your weather reports from North Aberdeenshire.

A NEaster would be your ticket and may well materialise.

Evening HS......how does a north easter fare for here as I have not been party to won since living here or if I have I cant remember.....liking the dewpoint could do with temp slipping a bit too which I think it will.

What's the ppn falling as currently at Stranraer / D&G ?

The Traffic Cam and Weather Stations showing no precipitation. False echoes like over Eastern Scotland all day yesterday?

NMM has dewpoints above zero for near the coasts, GFS is subzero on the dewpoints all round.

Interesting. NAE has them below zero. You can also see there is slightly milder area of 2m temps just off the east coast today that is pushed away tomorrow as the North Sea fills with colder air from the continent. Very clear to view this on the zoom in 2m temps on NAE.

Sometimes I wonder, don't I have anything better to do than analyse all air mass anywhere in the vicinity of Scotland over the next few days........

Angus sucks all our snow from a N'Easter Edo. We need a straight Easterly and the holy grail - the Tay streamer!

Had a quick scoot through some of the regionals and some posts in the west midlands thread are saying they have had light to moderate snow for the past 3 hours. Some around the Sunderland area too I think. I don't think they were expecting anything until tomorrow.

My amateur prediction of snow for yous tomorrow :) Hope you get what yous want (in due time!!).

Note this is only tomorrow. If I added Sat and Sun, then eastern areas would have considerably more.

Brilliant, that's far better than any MetO warning system :-)

Alright folks?

Have been lurking in the shadows for a while now but it's time to step out and join the others mental enough to watch the lamposts. It took me a while to get here via lurking on the MT (jings, there is some cases on there). Nearly I lurked last night to ask what TOORPing was but someone else beat me too it.

Hope you are all lucky with the snow, I bought the kids new snowsuits in December - they WILL wear them before the month is out whether I have to chuck talc at them and tell them it's warm snow. I fear 2010 has spoiled them though.

Like it.

Hate to labour the point but just now, we have a SSE wind gusting over 30mph and a temp of around 1.6. Now that direction is direct off the North Sea here. That's unheard of. Very special set up I think.

BBC news 24, 21:30 forecast was basically porn (sorry that's a blatant ramp)
