I think the band won't reach us now, stalled and now pivoting, probably just get remnants and light precipitation. :(

Well angie on bbc newsline very confident of heavy snow from mid morning until tomorrow so maybe the front will get a move on again. Up to 10cms on low level. My mate at the airport have spoke to met office and they still insist heavy snow from late morning through the eve and night. Min of 10 cms. So I hope they don't get egg on there face

2.8 deg and rain/sleet right down by the coast in SE Dublin. Very strong winds. If its like this here chances are that anything that falls in NI will be snow

Snowing in Bangor.....................Wales.

Met forecast for today, tonight and tomorrow:

Today:

Wet and windy with prolonged and heavy spells of rain, this will turn to sleet then snow during the day, including lower coastal areas. Worst affected will be around Belfast, the Mourne Mountains and Antrim hills but difficult conditions elsewhere. Maximum Temperature 3 °C.

Tonight:

Snow will continue overnight with further heavy falls and coupled with strong winds there will be drifting and perhaps even blizzard conditions. Travel will be treacherous. Minimum Temperature -2 °C.

Saturday:

Snow showers will continue, especially across the east of the Province where it will remain windy. Western parts, such as Enniskillen may see some drier and brighter spells. Maximum Temperature 3 °C.

Looks good to me. If it's snowing in Dundrum (so long as it's not the hillier areas) that's a good sign for Bangor too. I'm literally on the coast here.

Light snow here in NW Meath, just sticking on grass so far. Didn't think it would change so readily so delightedbiggrin.png
