On way to petersfield, reckon it will be heavier away from Portsmouth, snowing here not settling well as ground wet but the main burst is yet to come :)

Looking at the radar, this band does not look that heavy and is fading fast.

Think all these warning are completely over the top.

Yes, it does look as if the front is weakening as it approaches us. I think however that this was predicted. The front will weaken and stall over us, so although we won't get as heavy precipitation as places to our west, it will last for many hours. Hoping that we get 15cm, but will be very happy with 10cm.

Wind seems to be picking up and snow just getting heavier and heavier. Anyone needing to hit the road in the South Glos area, I would say don't bother!

We've had more snow in Weston than I thought, just been out to clear the snow of the car and there's easily 4inches on it!

Great covering, snow steady, but light, really want to see it pep up a bit now. Yellows look to edging slowly north tough.

Powdery snow in Petersfield so far but beginning to settle a bit. The main band has only just started to go through here. Mixed reports, some saying the band is stalling, some think it is speeding through. With the winds turning Easterly though I expect the front to stall and the snow to continue in Hampshire til tea time.

Morning all!!

Well, I have to say I was a little concerned before I went to sleep last night as the snow was falling, but no settlement. I even had a dream that I woke up and looked out of the window to nothing....

However, my concerns were unfounded....

Its that beautiful slight where you can't tell which is the road and which is the pavement, the steps accross the road have merged into one and I can't see out of the back windows because the wind has covered them in snow!!

About 6 cms now, perhaps a bit more and still falling.... things are good!!
