You'll have to give us the heads up then!! smile.png

cars sliding all over the place trying to get up the hill on my street. Why bother driving when it's this bad?! Don't get it!

WHITEOUT! :)

can't believe it took pictures to show this - just watch the slightly different directions each one was going in earlier and follow them to how they're starting to go now....tease.gif

Its going to be a good night by the looks of things. How you enjoying the conditions Gumbo? Horizontal snow in the face, i've lost count of the gritters that have been down sheff road today

and they still cant shift it, hoping it stays like this all night, or heavier would be better.

Some poor quality phone shots but they show that there hasn't been much snow here.

Met office had no intention of a snow streamer for the coastal regions so this just shows how easily a situation can upgrade :)

I've been watching them fruitlessly trying to clear the roads, although, you do know that most of the time they're not gritting our road? they save it for "more important" routes believe or not!!!

tesco's is out of bread, probably out of milk and salt by now too :)

here's hoping for more to come, but the OH has to work in the morning. luckly, just around the local area

If the MetO's rainfall radar is right the streamer over us at the moment will stall over us until about 10pm then head inland whilst keeping it's strength. I can't see it hanging around that long. It seems to have got a shift on in the last hour.

Everyones a winner! :)

There's just been a 3 car pile up outside my house (one of the steeper roads in Woodseats) so I can attest there's a couple of inches on some roads and its causing problems. When I came home at 5pm it was slushy on chesterfield road.

Never been "moderate to heavy" in Darton at all! I would describe it was small flakes coming down in moderate intensity on the back of a breeze! Quite frustrating actually.

Looking great for all but the far West of Yorkshire at the moment. Those showers are really starting to pep up now East of a line between Leeds and Sheffield! Snowing moderately in Leeds city centre now too!

I'm losing track of whats happening. I'm in Rawmarsh Rotherham. Does the stuff coming from the East have a chance of reaching ?
