I think he means precipitation which might normally be abbreviated to PPN.

Nothing has been determined for the next few days, there is a chance for precipitation from a number of directions.

For Wales there is a better chance from the precipitation coming from the west moving east, and fringing Wales according to the NAE of 06Hz.

Rather than the one projected for SE England, which is unlikely to reach us.

Yes I meant PPN haha wrong key ;

Not a lot of melt here, apart from the roads which are likely to freeze up again later, temperature seems to be falling away slightly again now 0.6C

I don't think temperatures will fall away too much as the cloud cover will keep things higher and stop the heat loss too much.

0.2°C is the warmest I have had today so absolutely minimal thaw if any at all - moderate breeze making things feel very raw outside.

Anybody know if Horseshoe Pass is accesible ?

Got snow here but a lack of hills and the pass is good cause we can sit in the cafe and let the kids (cough...us adults ;-)) go sledgin.

Thanks in advance James.

Not much melt here either but snow slowly edging away from house and roof snow also thinning. Tonight is set to be a big freeze, temps down to -4c. Forecasts are for thinner clouds tonight.

I have 7 inches here at 100 meters ASL just a few miles from Andy. 5-8inches pretty much everywhere I think

Temperatures have been below freezing here all day so no thawing, only some melt on the roof from the house-heat only for it to refreeze in the sub-zero air leading to some big icicles.

Next week looks right messy and snow could appear from anywhere although looking more marginal.

Yes very little thaw here in Cardiff apart from the roofs where snow has melted because of heating within the house (however quite some considerable snow on most of the roofs) but all the pipes are dripping where snow has been melting but temperatures here are at 0C so icicles are forming on most of the pipes in my street, maybe I can get that 3 foot icicle that I had in 2010?

Also some flurries starting to fall now, but nothing on radar to suggest it will last.

Pictures looking E.

How much snow do you have by you mate? Maybe 4 inches here, a bit has melted from yesterday.

Surface temps on Monday looking very favourable if the front clips the south it will be snow

Met office have Cardiff down for light snow tomorrow 3pm, heavy snow 6pm then light snow until end of Tuesday? Doubt it!

Ties in well with latest NAE

Light snow now in Cardiff.. where the snow at the top of my conservatory has melted (due to the dripping of the snow from the roofs) the snow that is falling is settling on the wet surface! (single flakes however)
