You can see the lil heavyer clump just off the coast Coasty, but also another heavyer bit out down brighton way, hopefully that will make it here too, almost looks like that one is beefing up a bit too........

Fingers crossed Jas!

On behalf of ALL South Essex/N&E Kent members:

Congratualtions to the rest of you that have the snow. Enjoy.

But...

"WTF"

Had I been in S.Essex I'd be with you. Still I'm sitting here in Guildford with a pretty good covering, I'd say we are upto 10-12cms now...

Snow easing off after 2 hours of moderate falls. Est accumulation 6-7cm. That heavy radar echo near bognor regis seems interesting...heading London way?

-1.4c

I concur. The front has weakened for the past few hours now and clearly evident on the radar. Latest BBC forecast has also confirmed this. All eyes now on the track of the depression on Sunday in France.

No probs matey!

There is a chunk of heavier precip just leaving Brighton way now, isnt that quite near you?

Considering the hype yet again it's a truly feeble snowfall event here. I have to laugh because as rain, today's system would have been a very high precipitation rate but as snow, oh no.. I think we've struggled to attain 10mm of snow.

Its trying to start snowing again here - but very fragmented and sporadic so it it isn't amounting to anything. Eyes on 'The Clump' it is thensearch.gif

Dew point is now at 0.0 :-(

Here in West Twickenham we now have 4-5 inches of level snow (and still snowing moderately) rofl.gif so much for Simon Kings prediction on Radio 5 live breakfast show this morning that snow "would peter out by the time it reached london" ..!!! . mega_shok.gif

Enjoy mate.

Cant festering believe our luck. Again.

Let's hope we are rewarded with a tasty streamer tomorrow or something.

Gutted and now I have to go up the school and explain to my boy why I am such a doofus, when it comes to forecasting snow.

Been snowing here at Charing for last 2 hours - mostly light stuff with occ heavier burst but all pretty insignificant really.

You can't help but feel a bit disappointed when you see others getting far more snow - but there was always a decent chance the precipitation wouldn't really get to mid / east / north kent today.

Oh well - at least it is snowing here and we still have snow left from earlier in week which never really melted so can't complain too much. Perhaps things might pep up later this evening or another chance over weekend.

Current temp -2.5c and maxed at about -2.1c earlier.
