Normally have a phone call from my mum who lives near Limoges by now. Guessing they've had it bad down there and the phone lines are down. No let up here, small powdery flakes with larger ones occassionally. The grass has almost disappeared.

Snowed as far south as Toulouse today, everywhere has it.laugh.png

Getting on for an inch now. And you know what I am over the moon. If it stopped now I would still be a happy chappy. Just glad to see a proper covering at last.

Possibly beating the amount we had on Friday here, which is good. Would live to see larger flakes for a few hours so the grass disappears. This light to moderate is great but takes longer to cover the entire grass in the garden.

I agree! About a 5 on that scale posted a few pages back.

My Dad works for Shepway council (he is one of the guys who drives the big cleaner machines usually) and he started at 6am. He said the snow started at 6:30 and by 8:30 they were all sent home as there was no gritting overnight apparently. He lives in Densole and said Spitfire Way was not good at 8:45ish so if this keeps up won't be many from up on the hills getting down to town if they need/want to!

Agreed on that. Hardly any of the town's paths have been treated neither as the snow is covering those paths in town - particularly around the shopping centre. Only so much people can do.

Tomorrow for a lot of people is gonna be an day off me thinks.

Looking at the Raintoday radar it looks like this is headed NW which is good cos means there's more to come over me but the heavier orange blobs seem to be breaking off east covering east Kent and N Sea? Is this right? Not the best at radar interpretation?!x

Are you getting bigger flakes now?

nearly 2cm 5 on SM scale, Wife just woke up and said it was my fault, I said synoptically it was the fault of low pressure coming from France and nothing to do with me, unfortunately I cant type the reply to that LOL.
