is it just me or is all the ppn that is leaving Belgium curling round towards the Suffolk / Norfolk coast?

Not sure I want it if it's from Belgium blum.gif still I suppose I can hold my nose and put up with it.

Good job you're not doing the forecast then mark!

The real fun starts up the northeast with a stiff wind off the sea. Will make our day seem like a flurry

My head is spinning at the moment, I'm on the netweather radar and the precip seems to be moving in a very slow North direction. i've just been on my metO app and the precip is moving in a North West direction.wacko.png

Not really in Colchester, further north and East. We have snow but just not as much as I would have hoped given the synoptics. Snow has only been light here and would love to see snow like I remember in the past; a real snowstorm.

Hmm, you're probably right actually (must zoom out in future!). I've been concentrating on the extreme western flank which seems to be receeding rapidly.

LOL What I meant was I only see this now - it was not meant to be a forecast. Though I am a bit sceptical about the BBC forceast! Edited by Mark Burton

We've had 6cm fall on cleared areas today. Snowing solidly now since 9am, small flakes but very steady. It's compressing the 5 inches we had on Friday, can see where the layers are on wall tops.

At long last! Snow picking up now in intensity here on the Cambs/Norfolk border near Wisbech, starting to settle also.

Still nothing here. Patience, patience, patience.search.gif

Been snowing lightly here for about 3 hours now; nice and steadily but never anything very heavy. Looks like the heavier echoes on the radar are heading towards Norfolk and then up the NE coast.

Still, has probably added another 4cm or so. Just been out and had a snowball fight with the children and also built a snowman and a snowcat!

If you look to the south west, then maybe another 1 hour or so, 40 mins ago the prcip was over Oxford, look at it now.
