Been as high as 2.7 degrees here in Petts Wood/Locksbottom although temp is falling(currently 2.2 degrees) and quite a rapid thaw with dripping off the trees etc.Just seen BBC News 24 and they seem to think Westward extent will be Surrey although the Band is moving much further Northwards and expanding a bit as it does so.Think South and West Midlands and East Wales could get quite a covering(upto 10cms) as it will continue to Snow till early afternoon tomorrow. The last few seconds were depressing, upto 8 degrees and heavy rain with Susan Powell talking about flooding for some this time next Week-Just what we want!!

yes,i see on radar, what form is falling(precipitation)?.cold rain? But as regarding the ever craved snow, i think its safe to say now apart from those reading westward,it game over.with at best light flurry or two, west, of the overall region :-(.

A crying shame though, current radar is looking for some good falls, not so far, away from us. A case of so near yet so far from this one.

Dew point going through the floor and air temp going through the roof.

You have to laugh really.

Temp: 3.1c

Dew: -3.2c

i don't know what people are moaning about the rain band is about to engage colder dew points from the east, this is a very fluid situation and could give surprises to a lot in the west and north west London areas, maybe worse further east but that would only be due to lack of precipitation, which could still come your way as the triple point has now formed over cherbourg and the system is much more organised, both in terms of moisture and colder dew points being dragged into the mix, far from over in my opinion

So long as the dew point stays 0C or below, it should be snow falling - which will in turn lower the temperature too.

DPs in Kent around -1C currently, though above 0C west of Eastbourne, hence rain in Brighton, guess the longer sea track of the SE flow from France means the air is less dry there.
