it's definitively sleeting here, I can hear the rain drops and see the drops hitting the puddles that are now amassing outside, we seem to have a bit of a weird situation here where the snow within the sleet is counter acting the rain.

so where we had patches of snow earlier....we still have them

where it had thawed...we have puddles.

a patch work quilt of slush I suspect ...going to take the dogs out for a quick wonder and take a look

Well it's all snow here (hilly north Brighton)

The wind has really picked up here now (RM10). Feels absolutely bitter..... Just seen a load of rabbits frantically digging. The snow must be on its way to SW Essex. ;-)

It is indeed looking good and perfect timing dew points and temp dropping and this wind drying out the surfaces. I expect it to settle straight away.

Seems a bit of convection has kicked off in the Thames ahead of the main line of precip?

Not sure it will even reach us but if it does I'd be surprised if it fell as rain given that we're not near the coast.

We'll it keeps throwing it out of NE France also so thats a good thing, we might clip it?

Back home now nothing here yet... apologies for everyone in the thread - scrolling the main site on a blackberry 9900 on a train and it opens up everyone's profiles.
