It's alternating here between sleet and snow, but it most definatively is not raining in Brighton

Fairly heavy snow in Crystal Palace.

This is after 10mins of the heavy stuff.

That's not fair, I'm off Westwood hill so can't be far from you and I've got sleet and not much of it either.

5 cm and light to moderate snow in haslemere

It took me well over half an hour to travel the 4 miles from Liphook to Haslemere. Made it home just it time! The roads haven't been gritted at all.

I would like to clear something up about what I said and hopefully draw a line about it. Matt of course is entitled to his opinion, it's just that for me, personally it was too much. Sometimes he said how people were going OTT and how much of a non event this is in three different ways on nearly each page! Today wasn't the first time and I just thought oh no, not again. So no offence Matt, I just found your comments and repetitiveness a little too much. I heard them the first time.

I practically live in that model thread so am very fine about hearing bad news. Just not in that way.

I hope that the arguments can stop now and to the mods, I am sorry about this. I realise I should've just blocked without saying anything.

It seems Sussex Area and a bit further inland has been a sweetspot for snow. Why is this?. Lake effect ?. These Channel lows seem to be in just the right position for some and no good for others

I reckon something will crop up for us in February, and blue Bell hill? Isn't it rather spooky and haunted up there? Heard the story of the woman in the white wedding dress jumping in your car?

That stretch of heavy snow that goes from Eastbourne to Dieppe is the key to tonight, once it has left the marginality of the south coast any area in it's path as it heads north westwards will be having a snow day tomorrow as people won't get out of their drives, that long band of heavy snow is surely carrying an 8" plus payload

A friend of mine has just texted me and its taken him 3 hours to get back to Brighton from Haywards Heath ,roads are a nightmare .

Sounds horrible, unfortunately, my mum has been stuck in those jams and was meant to arrive home at 6:30, hope she's home soon.

Yes, it's pretty wet. My weather station reads +0.1c with a DP of -1.3c. Looking at the Rain Today radar, there is some heavier stuff heading towards our neck of the woods from south-south east of here, but of course it might all fizzle by the time it get here!

On the radar, it shows snow as far as Kingston and Epsom, with it turning to sleet as it heads nw. Dry here currently.
