Yes all those messages can be seen from the Traffic England web site, I do like the one between junction 22 and 23 about preparing for winter, a little late nowrofl.gif

We are going to be the last to see the snow disappear off the east coast which means by my calculations that Lowestoft will get 60cm of snow.

IS that all?? rofl.gif

Herts Highways have just tweeted that there has been a change to the forecast they receive, and are expecting snow tomorrow night.

M25 already has the Snow illuminating overhead signs!

Magic clouds just appeared in the North Sea. One minute nothing, and the next this. Magic Clouds

We now have 'magic clouds' too, Gary...They've already precipitated 57cm of 'magic' snow!

But only 2cm of it will settle....and that will soon thaw along with the other 58cm :)

Tomorrow does look like a pretty tricky forecast to make. NAE and GFS at loggerheads in particular and perhaps at the extreme ends of the spectrum. Snow that does fall tomorrow night is going to thaw quite readily during the course of Saturday, though it's not until Saturday evening until a mild sector of air makes inroads into the region:

The wind really ramping up on Saturday and beyond, after what's been a very calm period of weather.

Next week dominated by LP to the north and HP to the south, though temperatures and conditions will vary from day to day.

The whole 60cm will settle, and it will only start thawing at 4pm on Saturday. I saw this written on a piece of ice which was floating in my glass of scotch. I would post a picture but sadly the ice has now melted.

Saw a motorway sign on the M11 today saying "Severe weather expected tomorrow". What sort of severe weather would that be?

Edit: should have read the thread first, I'm not the only one to have noticed, but it sounds good — there's never going to be a severe thaw, is there?
