The ongoing 'downgrades' regarding tomorrow night's snow 'even't do not in-the-least-bit surprise me. Hopefully, I'll be way off the mark, but I can't see sufficient-enough dragging-up of cold air, ahead of the rain??

Only time will tell...

The whole of the region is under a Be Aware warning for Snow.

Amber Warning of Snow for East of England :

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough

valid from 1100 Fri 25 Jan to 0200 Sat 26 Jan

Yellow Warning of Snow for East of England :

Bedford, Cambridgeshire, Central Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Luton, Peterborough, Norfolk, Suffolk, Thurrock & Southend-on-Sea

valid from 0900 Fri 25 Jan to 0300 Sat 26 Jan

Yellow Warning of Snow for London & South East England :

Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes

valid from 0900 Fri 25 Jan to 0300 Sat 26 Jan

Further snowfall will spread from the west, as another weather front moves eastwards across the UK. Snow will reach parts of Scotland during Friday morning, and eastern parts of England during the late evening, likely to clear these eastern areas by the early hours of Saturday. 4 to 8 cm is likely quite widely within the amber warning area, with a low risk of more than 10 cm locally even on lower ground. Further north, accumulations of 10 to 20 cm may occur in some upland areas. Strong winds will also lead to drifting and blizzard-like conditions, particularly over higher level roads in the north.

I think you have to look very closely at these warnings.the whole region under yellow for two days looks so promising. Then you look at the days.I have one snow flake midnight sat.yellow warning not warranted at all.

A beautiful song, and one that I think suits the mood on here at the moment.

By all means play your song if its raining outside my window tomorrow night.

Until then - the party's over - on Saturday

Aahh, I've got a leak. In the bathroom. Coming through one of my tiles around the window. I think it might be to do with the thaw. Not sure if I need a plumber, a roofer or a drainage expert.

Heavier snowfall entends further south into Essex, looking like an upgrade for EA!

Snowy weather followed by heavy rain is expected across the UK in the next few days, with the risk of flooding. John Hammond explains....

Absolute nonsense! That even gives the Amber warning areas for Snow, Rain instead!

Don't worry guys, things haven't changed. Snow still looking good for snow north of London tomorrow!

NAE 12z gives 10cm tomorrow - that's more like it
