when you say inches, do you really mean centimetres??

Nope, red bits are 30cm an hour in intensity, someone catches a red bit even for 15mins that's like 3inches in that time

Same here, very dull, grey and damp + cold. Time to get some holiday brochures sent home!!

Are you for real I think a few gave you the benefit of the doubt last night. But so far last week you were saying last Friday the army should have been put on standby, Sunday you were saying blizzards were incoming then last night you were saying met office hadn't put out red alert because they all finish at 5pm!

Wet snow here for about half an hour, quite heavy for a while, only settled a little bit though. Very marginal conditions and all wet now.

Breakdown on Friday looks like it could hold some snow interest for a while for our region, particulalry to those north of London

Steve Murr said that 1mm of precip is 1.5cm of snow

On the radar scale those red bits are 20mm so on Steve's scale that's 30cm of snow an hour
