Anyone know what the ski conditions will be like today on Box hill , did they have any more snow last night ? I'm thinking of driving over there this afternoon .

I work at the top of Boxhill and it's had another 3cm of fresh snow last night, Still have approx 4 inches of laying snow, so deffo worth a try, don't forget to wave as you ski past :-) lol

That High pressure is still dominant looking to me on that Friday chart. Hmm, could be some surprises from this.

Still can't see that being a big event for much of the SE, maybe a bit of North London? I'd be delighted if it did come down more in our region, but still a way to go yet.

dont kidd yourselves - this cold spell is coming to a close. maybe a last hurrah late friday (not certain this far south) but by the backend of the weekend, the slush will be annoying.

Moderate snowfall in Surrey's snow capital Godalming! That's 4 out of the last 6 days we've had decent snow. Not bad :-)

Getting heavier! 5p flakes!

Really don't think that Friday will bring us snow and even if it does it will be just transitional as the Atlantic is finally getting it's act together and with all that energy coming from NE Canada i just can't see anything other than a milder spell. That is just the way i am seeing the models and i think a fairly realistic way. That is not to say things can't change but it would be one hell of a change in what the models have consistently been showing and firming up on things for last 3/4 days.

Sorry if this should be in Model Thread but just don't want to get peoples hopes up in SE Thread as we have to accept Mild is coming in South East and sooner it pushes through, greater the chance we have of another cold spell coming back by early Febblum.gif

Mostly melting on impact I must say BUT best, heaviest snow we've had this winter!

Right them massive 50p stylee flakes now (can you tell I'm excited??)
