Temperature -0.5 here. Not expecting much tomorrow to be honest, looks very marginal away from higher ground in the west of our region. Are the showers on Mon/Tue looking beefy ones? Thanks GSL

Temp 1.4c, DP -1.3c, things heading in the right direction

About the same for me (Temp 1.5c, have no dewpoint reading though).

Looking at the radar will be hitting here some time between 01:00 and 02:00. Although not heavy as the radar shows its very light in intensity.

Just need whatever is coming to get here before dawn tomorrow, decent cloud cover to keep temps pegged back, all we need then is some decent precipitation. But will it come ???

I think there are two warnings for Yorkshire one of which does cover us in South Yorks but I have to say I have got nowhere near as much optimism regarding this event than I have for previous snowfalls this winter.

Time will tell but things don't look great IMBY at the moment in my opinion. Temperature now at 2.9c. Let's see what tomorrow brings...

I honestly wouldn't take any notice of these. They don't know themselves. I've already said that i'm not expecting anything from this it will be interesting to watch develop nevertheless.

So what time is the heaviest ppn going to be tomorrow then? does anyone know lol? there have been that many changes to the forecasts and the front its hard to tell now

From reading above it sounds like the colder uppers wont start coming in until evening tomorrow and overnight into Monday but by then the BBC showed the front to have petered out. Does this mean the colder air will be too late?

Lets hope not ey!!

As KS said above there are 2 separate warnings out for snow. South Yorks is covered in the other warning which states -

Issued at:

Early rain over western Britain is expected to turn to snow as it spreads eastwards during Sunday. Snow cover is likely to be very variable, with some places seeing little settling, others 2-4 cm, and with the potential for 10 cm or more over parts of the Midlands, Kent an Essex, especially later in the day. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption, particularly to travel.

Temp 0.9C here now with a dew point of -3.8C. Can't see much more than a flurry here tomorrow, that's if it's not rain. Hopefully some beefy showers in the next few days though!

Well just past midnight and its still 3.7oC

The first front which is going NW to SE with very little movement slight W to E

The second front is just coming into S Ireland and pushing W to E

These 2 join together and start to form the low

Where that low is we will have to see as it has not developed as yet

As far as I can see anyone under 100mtrs wet snow / rain

Thats my guess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at BBC forecast i'd say this will be rubbish, maybe 3cm settling max sad.png parts of New York have had 70cm, really puts it into perspective..a national emergency would be declared here.

The bit we have now is making terribly slow progress and so won't be here for hours and won't produce much anyway.

The band we want is over Wales.

Ah, cheers! It is settling but it looks more like tiny sleet. It has settled on the car, and on some of the rooftops around, but not on the path or road. Can't see the mast at all though, so it's maybe thicker than it looks.
