Snowlessland or Squibland?

Squibland I like Nick, trips off the tongue, like Snodland, we could build it next to Maidstone too, someone has to live near there!

Cheers,

Tom

Why couldn't they call it snow heaven at least. No wonder they always jinx it, the snow thinks we don't want it after reading the headline lol.

yes I remember Tom- I remember the radar- MONSTER from holland it was hailed, it rained in bexley & then I heard the reports of 40cms of snow in the NE. :(

the Streamer was little consolidation.

Im still on the fence here.- at least here in our corner in this scenario the thames cannot scupper the Depoints with winds from the SE-

I dont think we need to much more correction on initial track - its the 'continued' track SE we need- not the low 'lifting' round Kent with warmer southerlies....

we need a FULL slider.

Was watching the American feed about their winter storm, newsreader said that people were showing 'common sensibles' about the storm and when normalcy will be resumed! and people moan about Ryan's english on Mod Thread!blum.gif

Great footage as well on foxboston.com. Boston starting to get hammered. All road travel banned but mayor just announced fully expecting schools to be open Monday. Gotta love 'em.

Well, £25 can get me to the top of the Shard in central London which is around 300m at the top, bound to be snowing up there!

On a more serious note, even though if it's looking wrong side of marginal from the models on the day, If the rain is heavy and persistent and the wind is light on Sunday the greater the evaporative cooling will be, thus the more likely the snow level will fall to the surface quite quickly. One thing the models can't quite get a grasp of on a local level.

Just popped into the Mod Thread and poor old Dutch Ryan has had a bit of stick apparently.

I think he's becoming a bit of a cult hero, bless him.

Do you think he's got a long lost Crazy cousin in Lootens?

Regards,

Tom.

suddenly starting blowing a mini-gale here, wind roaring down the chimney and the fire sparking into life again. Fancy a long solitary night, plenty of logs and coal, Spotify subscription via headphones, and still some of that Sloe Gin available... at this rate I will be burnt, deaf and hungover by the morning!

we need to club together & buy a crane!!!

Nick- you must be a tad more optimistic tonight as things seem to have started sliding in our favour....

S

Yes, tentatively optimistic, it won't take too much correction SW to get London and counties south in the snow zone. Though probably won't be jumping out of bed at 5am to see if the GFS has Sunday's low even further SW!

the early fax charts today had the centre of the low on sunday over ireland

the updated one at 16.56 shows the centre of the low over north wales

if the same pattern happens tomorrow it could change the whole sunday on outlook for us

all we can do now is wait

Not being funny there is a warm sector crossing us in the SE as temps are marginal for snow it only means one thing!!! Suffolk Northwards from here will get snow, oxford area, hearts, probably be snow, here round chelmsford, Basildon area will be rain or sleet

Fine line for areas just south of London(heavy sleet/wet snow) i still expect a south movement of the snow areas by Sat night to affect... won't say now though! chart GFS 18z

Agree with you Nikki, he's a breath of fresh air, bitterly cold and from the east of course!

Cheers,
