Morning folks!

Sorry to say not even a light dusting and I am on the extreme se coast. Where is that low pressure going? Surely, we must be in the firing line at some point? Ironically, met office have a warning out for NE England again! Makes you laugh. In the mod thread it was meant to be kent most 'at risk' ..................Or am I missing something? Any thoughts?

Tried to sleep but couldn't, not weather related.

Morning BB, same problem here.

Spent an hour gazing out of the window at the lamppost around 3.00am onwards and it was fruitless really, as all we had was a light dusting that's has covered the cars and grass in the merest hint of icing sugar like snow. I should have know it was only going to be light here as the data etc had alluded to it all day. Still, can't contend with human nature and as I was awake I might as well usher it on eh?!!

I'm off up the County this morning so may see some more. Going to check the charts now to see if anything has radically changed.

In Dartford its snowing very lightly, unfortunately got to go shopping for supplies and will have to clear the snow off the car, mind you this will be easier than most times, all I got to do is switch the windscreen wipers on.

Morning all,

Very light snow falling here in MK - about what I expected really....we might end up with a dusting of 'icing sugar' if we are really lucky rolleyes.gif

I won't be on here much this weekend so have a good one and enjoy what snow you do get good.gif

Right, here we go with a bit of nowcasting:

There is something moving in, but it's not particularly heavy:

More of the same through the morning I think, fingers crossed it modifies into a bit more intense, but not expecting it.

It looks as if there's some thicker cloud out over the North Sea...

Hi Steve, I think we must have already had the Suffolk blob. Lying snow is rather negligible...biggrin.png

So what do the charts/data have?

GFS accumulation - nothing!

13022318_2300.gif

Of course, for them no precip:

13022312_2300.gif

13022312_2300.gif

Nothing tomorrow either:

13022412_2300.gif

Strangely, if you look at Netweather's GFS interpretation for today we get:

prectypeuktopo.png

But tomorrow:

prectypeuktopo.png

So really take your pick there!!!

UKMO also says nothing worth measuring:

13022312_2300.gif

But I get all that is going tomorrow in my back garden (and that's exclusively over my house!!)

13022412_2300.gif

NAE also have nothing for this morning:

13022312_2300.gif

But the very tip of SE Kent tomorrow:

13022412_2300.gif

Finally NMM has really nothing:

A bit of a dusting overnight on extreme East coasts and this tomorrow lunchtime:

Not looking like anything major at this point I'm afraid.

You should be up here inDurham, proper fat flakes, not sure about covering but some locals have said 2-3cms.

Up for national cross country in Sunderland, starting to get the layers on now!!!

typical we get all of the right Synoptics and no snow to show from it.

People in the mod thread were moaning in the week that they wouldn't get anything. But now they are getting hammered by showers. When will it be our turn in the south this winter as it has only been marginal events so far

Very nice Pixel ...... like that image a lot

Nothing here again but we are not in the best area for me to get my hopes up. Apart from one short lived event this winter has been pretty poor!
