Evening all. :)

So it looks like we'll have a reasonable amount of warm weather, until the weekend, then it might be cool for a while, with a polar maritime airstream, after a spell of rain on Friday.

I guess there'll be a risk of late season frosts then, if winds are light. No really exciting weather that I can see for the foreseeable though. It probably means the forum will be quiet too.

Any news on Coast?

Hello all (I use the term advisedly)

A beautiful couple of days of weather this weekend, warm in the sun and out of the breeze, cold first thing, trees coming into bud catching up on lost time.  I am trying to slow down the passage of time for me, but yet am encouraging nature to hurry on and and let us have Spring.  It seems to be listening as I saw a few butterflies earlier today, and a proper old-fashioned bumble bee buzzed amiably into the kitchen this afternoon.  Having said that, next weekend looks like it might be cold again so there could be a bit of a shock to the systems of flora and fauna (and, much more importantly, middle aged blokes from Surrey)

It is quite empty on here at the moment and it made me think of this:

I've just looked at the ECM Model. Definitely not a pretty picture for those not wanting late frosts next Monday and Tuesday (8 days time) The airstream shown is an arctic maritime and would mean a very real risk of frosts, with light winds. It would likely be cool and showery too.

I for one don't want to see this evolution. :(

Nor me, Steve.  I don't expect or want wall to wall Mediterranean-style sun and warmth, this is the Uk after all, but what I really don't want is being thrown back into a winter-type set up when it is not far off May, the cricket has started, and particularly in a year where winter seems to have only just finished.  I have, however, finally come to terms with the undoubted truth, that it sure as anything doesn't matter what I want, the weather will do its own thing.  smile.png

I'd like to order some sun and 20c temps for May Day bank holiday weekend please? Willing to pay, must be guaranteed however..none of the old "your order has been lost in the post" malarkey ;)

Seriously though, much nicer here today than expected! If you managed to get out of the wind it was lovely.

Good evening all and I trust you had a good weekend. The weather certainly helped and Saturday in particular was just about perfect here. So a bit more warmth to follow this week before its back to the chiller then it would seem ?

NB: I hope Coast is now on the road to recovery.

Good morning all, lovely weekend with some chilly & frosty starts, glad to hear Coast is on the mend, the regional forum is very quiet without him, in fact the whole of netweather is quiet without him, being the top poster on most days! Look forward to you posting again very soon Coast.

Having looked at the charts for the first time in a few days, (basic correlation - the nicer the weather becomes, the less time I spend online).  I see it is still looking rather cool for the end of April into the start of May with still the possibility of some night frosts, CET is currently 1c below average for April and starting to look like it might be the 8th month in row below average, hopefully May will turn the trend around.

What a fantastic weekend up here in the Norf of our region.

Spent the whole day in the garden on Saturday and did not see a single cloud all day, absolutely beautiful. With the numerous species of birds gracing the sky and the garden, the paragliders jumping and floating from planes form nearby Sibson airfield, it felt like I was in heaven! The temp only topped out at 18.2°c but measured the temp in direct sunlight and a rough recording was 29°, hence the very red chest, neck, back and forehead!

Yesterday started out the same but the sun soon became hazy and by 1ish it was more cloud than sun but still warm with a top temp of 17.3°.

Today has started ok, partly cloudy with some hazy sun getting through.

Right, the weekend's over, better get some work done dirol.gif
