Can't see much happening around here today - I'm holding out for Wednesday - 72% chance of a storm.

Wow seems to be quite a few beefy cells popping up, feels very steamy out there and its only just turning 5 o clock, definitely time yet for some more action i think. Yet again, Estofex were spot on.

An interesting development in the past hour or two. The development of the heat low over southern England has, along with an aspect of sea breeze development, swung the wind ESE here and for other places in the Lincs, Yorks, Notts area, further east and south then a more north of east flow. This should transfer the thunder risk into areas south and SE of here.

also responsible for the low St pulling on to some Norfolk and other adjacent coasts

I think the blob shown on the radar to the ESE of me is a bit over optimistic. Ahh using the new scale which always makes things look too lively. Switched back to the old one and it's a weak echo to ese of me. Overall though convention declining here despite a peak of 29.1C not long ago.

Damned and blast that sensationalist new scale which it always seems to default to!

Seems like a more organised storm has formed S of Lincoln heading SSE. Infact, it is really beginning to kick off near Grantham area, please carry on intensifying as you head South babyy!

Again can I ask? What is the difference today compared to yesterday? Is it that front juicing the air up? (the cold front)?

We'll see how it develops... Just reaching us and looking at radar it could last an hour when it gets overhead....only seen flashes no forks yet as reported further north
