Looks like the Midlands could be seeing some of the hottest temperatures this week - rather like today. :)

Certainly nice for a dip in West Wales, away from any slightly more stifling urban induced heat - even the gulls behaved themselves to some extent, almost tempted at one point to drop a few tasty spare chips but thought against it :) far too tasty.

Lost count how many beach BBQs ensued as the evening wore on..fresh sea air lol, gently fragranced with the subtle perfume of sizzling bangers, burgers, you name it!

80s again tomorrow? oh go on then :)

Love the 80s.

This spell has been brilliant. I just looked on BBC for Heathrow (my nearest weather station) and I haven't seen a forecast like this since 2006! It's not often that you see a forecast here with 30 degrees every day

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/7284876

30 degrees for all the next 5 days forecast with lows of 18-19C. From Friday onwards it suggests temperatures could be as high as 33/34 each day!

IMO this has been a long time waiting, the past few years eastern Europe in particular Russia has been spoilt with months of conditions like we are having now, maybe this year it's our turn

Just something I find interesting:

Yesterday Exeter Airport was listed on the Met Office of having a min of 4.9c on the 12th, the coldest in the country.

However yesterday it reached 30.8c. That's quite an impressive range of temps within 2 days.

Also yesterday it was just 0.6c short of the national highest max, but recorded the national lowest min of 7.7c, giving a 23.1c diurnal range.

Another gorgeous day ahead here, been almost 2 weeks of nice weather and I can't even remember what rain looks like let alone when we last had rain here!  20.2oC at the minute with a probable high of 27oC maybe 28oC.

The end of next week and into the following week is looking interesting, the BBC are giving forecast ranges between 16oC  to 36oC! not this Tuesday coming but next, this is of course a long way off but nice to see that the current July record could potentially be under risk of falling within the next week or so! I WILL be complaining about how hot it is though and probably be having 3 or 4 showers a day haha

Dreaded low cloud here to start the day - completely overcast. Still meant we got a Sunday lie in without the heat & brightness but now it needs to clear asap!

Currently only 19c after 18.4c low so can't open any doors/windows downstairs just yet as house is a comfortable 21.4c.

After yesterday's afternoon greyness and haar (morning max 22ºC - by 4pm it was 14ºC), it's a beautiful sunny morning with gin clear skies.  So refreshing for the proper heat of last week to have moved south :)

London Heathrow already up to 25C, I'll be working there again this afternoon in the airless cargo sheds, stocked up on plenty of water to drink, but I don't think even the westerly breeze will make much of a difference to temper the heat this afternoon.

An awful lot of thick high cloud around here at times making the sun quite hazy, the sat images did appear to me earlier that the high cloud should be getting thinner but this has not occurred and the sat images does seem to flatter to deceive it would seem.

Nonetheless, should be a nice pleasant summers day with temps around 23-24C by this afternoon. I'm one of those that is not too fussed whether its the low to mid twenties or the high twenties, aslong at least its sunny spells and there is not too much breeze, its a perfect summers day for me.

Finally the low cloud is shifting to sunshine at almost noon.

Really this low cloud nonsense can keep itself to the working week as we've only got couple of hours of sun left now at home.

21.4c so far - definitely a cooler day than yesterday coming.

Quite nice at the moment but temps still rising. Hopefully not much further. If they don't it'll be a near perfect day.

Yes thankfully cooler than yesterdays horrible weather.

Well, certainly going to be a cooler day today! Still very warm but this time yesterday it was atleast 27oC and yet today we are at 23.6oC but rising steadily so we could still get 27oC if not higher by 5ish, and just watched the countryfile forecast and he showed high pressure building even more so by the end of the week with the jet stream well to the north of scotland so anyone in scotland who is experiencing a bit of cloud and cooler temperatures will have a change once again by the end of the week!

Temp now up to 23.8oC haha

Heading towards the unpleasant again I reckon we should hit 26C again much higher than forecast. Country file forecast doesn't look too bad but I reckon they got the temps too low unfortunately.

No it doesn't set but after 2 there is very little sunlight into the house except through the one small skylight that faces west. In fact its 1245 and the sun is just moving off our one window in the living room.

The garden gets sun till about 4:30-5 at the moment - and if you climb the fence you might squeeze 5:30... After that I can only receive reflected sunlight from other houses windows.

22.2c now and now proper blue skies. Some 6c down on yesterday but still pleasant.

It's lovely now, here: the middle altitude clouds have move off, and there's enough of a sea breeze to take the edge off the humidity...Posted Image
