My little one went to bed over an hour ago and he's still up there chatting to himself despite the fact he was out with his class at a coastal park all day in the sunshine!

Still warm here, currently 20.1c.

I can understand a few people dont like this heat.. But for one second.. Look at what it is doing in terms of our industry and our crops... And it does not look like it is going to end any time soon... I think personally.. Of course we will see a brief spell where we get some rain ETC before we see August and September turn into scorchers too :D

An absolutely draining day for me, don't know how much more of this heat me or my colleagues can take. Heard the news a fellow postie died due to the heat up in Lincolnshire on Monday.

It is possible to have no rain for many weeks.. hope not!! was expecting at least a heavy shower today but they did say isolated! September can be great for clear hot days and frosty nights/mornings.

Crops, tourism...

I have to agree with the tourism thing. The beaches, restaurants and cafes have all been very busy the last couple of weekends in comparison to last year.

No slamming going on surrey :-) was just wondering what you were getting at. I assume all weather types affect industry. Ice cream sales up, welly sales down or vice versa! Where I work, I'm sure most people are less productive at the moment, but then it is about 40c out on the shop floor.

I don't believe no is slamming you on here fella. That's your opinion, and in this democratic country your more than intitled to that. But maybe respect others and don't take it as a criticism. Remember Netweather are not Autocratic... 😊

Evening all :)  Too nice to be sat with the laptop, been gardening :D  Any sign of rain in the offing? My sheep have not only caught up with the grass, they've bloomin' lapped it twice! At least we should have cooler cloudier weather in the east over the weekend apparently (although I'm judging at an Obedience show in Holland (23-27C over the weekend!)

ecm shows a poss movement more south of the jet from 27th on
