25.9° here. Muggy and bright. Met office radar suggests we've been under a deluge on and off for hours. Can assure we have not!

(Oh, and hello all from this new boy!)

Welcome the dive, Anvils...Clearly anaprop is not confined the winter...Posted Image

Whats the bubbling up on the south coast yummy!

Nothing that I can see from here?

Anaprop has led to many heart skips over the years!

Not just with you either!

Certainly not getting my hopes up as regards the next few hours. The French activity seems to be heading towards Benelux AGAIN! Quelle surprise...

I agree - and I can't even get excited about any home grown ones either!

Thanks.

No ruler. But I do own a wall, for banging my head against when the weather doesn't do what I want it to. Hence it gets plenty of use!

Total non event again

Storms are harder to get here in the summer

Than it is to get a Thames streamer in the winter

Been a real long time that I can remember a good night storm here

Although saying that they were about last night

My location was just unlucky

This spell has been a total key down for me not a storm pass over me for the whole spell. All I've seen is distant lightning ;(

Afternoon all.

Hot and muggy here again, 27oC in the shed.

Did not get much sleep last night between the storms, first came through around midnight, plenty of T&L in there and some very heavy rain.

then (as the windows were open) and it started to quiet down, finally got to sleep only to be rocked back awake with an almighty boom as the storm kicked off again at around 04:00, I am up @ 05:00 anyway.

I survived the roof top car park - it was very hot up there though ...

Thankfully the shops were cool and quiet and I managed to find a lovely party dress !

Ahh midsummer plaza, not been there for a few years now

27.6c here, intermittent hazy sunshine, stiflingly humid, although a bit of a breeze has picked up. Just had a helicopter pass over here, so there can't be very much going on up there at the moment! Can't help but be a tad disappointed! Still, this morning's offering was worth watching.

Ditto, I'm about 10 miles SW of Norwich, so in theory we should get the same weather Posted Image

I must admit my heart goes out to all in the SE who didn't get a storm last night, as they weren't half bad. And I know how awful it is to miss out. (We usually do, around here, these days.) Still there's plenty of summer left yet. Let's hope we are in with another shot very soon.

I'm surprised at the level of negativity, aside from a few degrees in temp, today has followed much the same pattern as yesterday and look what that produced!!

I'm not surprised but I do think we might want to wait for another 24+ hours and see what does or doesn't materialise. The heat and humidity aren't all gone yet so who knows - the models and experts are struggling so that could be a good thing! :good:

Its happy hour :-) . Happens every day around this time. I still fancy our chances for tonight. You've only got to step outside to feel the energy in the air. Write nothing off at this early hour
