Cold and Wet just about sums it up here. 10.7oC and whilst the heavier rain appears to have past it continues to drizzle.

Was surprised how cold the house felt was when I got home a short while ago, but I suspect drying off the weekend washing indoors will not be helping that.

Looks like the rain has almost finished here. Just reached the high of the day at 12.5C. Woodburner roaring away. About 45C in the lounge I think...can't go in there without a flame suit. Rest of the downstairs at a pleasant 21.5C.

Nothing at all here, grey and cold (for the time of year) at 10.3 C.

As the rain crossed the Wash it just died

Well it's gone grey again now here Posted Image

Luckily thinks looks like taking a turn for the better come the weekend

Started raining here about 12:30 and for a few hours was pretty heavy on and off.  Still a few drops in the breeze.

I've noted the model thread, including our Tamara (I sound like Cilla Black!), suggesting there is some chance of a more settled period coming up with temperatures perhaps on the rise - would be lovely after the last few weeks to have some warmer and sunny days to enjoy as the leaves start to turn.

I was struck the other day when I saw the story about the Voyager 2 spacecraft leaving our solar system and venturing out into inter-stellar space, what an extraordinary moment that was.  Just wending its way, a tiny vulnerable representation of the optimism of the human race, just getting on, doing it's job, carrying it's information about our world and even now sending it's messages home - I'm ok, surviving, bit cold, could do with some company, but it's something else out here, really, it's something else.......

I've had enough of this crap weather now. It wouldn't bother me at all in the darker months, but it's just miserable in mid September. Posted Image

I'm looking forward to the predicted change, even if it doesn't last too long. :)

So! October has muscled in and rumours are abound - what does winter hold for us then?  October snow? 15c on Christmas day on Brighton beach?

Evening all. It started so well today, clear sunny skies, a light breeze which made it feel warmer. Come 11am KA-POW grey skies and persistent moderate to heavy drizzle, with the occasional heavy burst.

I'm with SteveC on this one. This crappy weather can do one until the end of next month.

Current temp 13c.... It was a nice temp for running in tonight, and the rain / drizzle held off ðŸ‘
