Great light show going on out there to the west i think...and the moon out to the East....,mad for this time of year...

Cells popping up loads in the channel :S

Superb lightning display here for the last 30-40 minutes, only one rumble of thunder and no rain but wow, this is good !

Seems to have moved through pretty quickly but was enjoyable while it lasted - not much thunder actually but very impressive intracloud lightning, looked like a summer storm so not bad for late October!

Also keep an eye on the cell heading to Portsmouth looks like there is a menacing hook on it

getting messy now what is going on?? Cell right on the coast has popped up!

Alot of cells to the South and Channel. SW also seeing plenty of bands of showers coming up. A lively night if these cells hold!

I dismissed my son's claims of the sky lighting up as 'fireworks' when we took the dog out until I saw the sky light up 7 times myself, finally accompanied by a low roll of thunder. Quite windy but dry, another roll of thunder has just passed as I type. Glad I took the dog out early!

 

Edit: Just started chucking it down with rain. Time for a radar check I suspect:)
