Well we got a dry fireworks party for my sons 7th bday!! Watched the rockets burst in the sky and then all zoom sideways!!! Very blustery but not too cold which we could live with for the fact it was dry!! Kids loved it!

Now looking forward to Xmas countdown and spying out any snowy forecasts!!!

Glad the party went OK, watched the local display here from home as it was wet and windy.

Morning all.

Bit chilly on this morning's walk. Bright and sunny blue skies with clouds out to the SW.

Looks like we will not be involved in the heavy rain etc tonight and tomorrow here, damp and breezy by all accounts.

Our display was successful, the wind died down and we had a good show. Apart from the one rocket that fell on it's side and exploded a few feet from us, but that was quite fun in it's own way.

High tides are roughly every two weeks, slightly lagging the full and (particularly) new moons. High tides are now and for the next few days, as we currently have a new moon. Next Sunday they'll be diminishing.

Yellow Warning of Rain for London & South East England :

Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Portsmouth, Southampton, Surrey & West Sussex

Rain, heavy at times, is expected to reach southwest England later on Sunday before spreading eastwards to affect the rest of southern England overnight Sunday and into Monday morning. This additional rainfall, following recent wet weather, means that the public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding. Gales may also develop along some coasts.

1100 on Sun 3 Nov 2013

Valid from:

1800 on Sun 3 Nov 2013

Valid to:

1100 on Mon 4 Nov 2013

A developing area of low pressure is expected to run quickly eastwards across southern England overnight Sunday into early Monday bringing widespread rain across southern Britain which will be heavy in places. Rainfall accumulations will typically be between 10 and 20 mm and locally around 30 mm. It will also become windy in southern counties, but more particularly along exposed coasts where gales may develop for a time during Sunday evening and the early hours of Monday, giving gusts of 50 to 60 mph.

Yes next Weekend is one too watch..

Hi Surrey, This is definitely one to watch. Croydon Council have been briefed about this potential storm where the Thames Barrier might be in operation too. This is a long way off for now, so let's see if this still materialises on model runs later in the week.

Afternoon all, well after a weekend of being a zombie I have returned from the dead, it looks very pleasant here today but a tad breezy. Its not until you go outside you appreciate just how noticeably chilly it has become which is not good when Im having to be outside fixing the duckhouse! And On that topic we finally got our first egg from them on thursday and have been getting one a day since :) hope everyones well and not too many firework displays ruinedpost-17805-0-60476500-1383488599_thumb.j

Just had my automatic call from the EA confirming we are on a flood warning - first one in  a while, think its as the tides are also high so not a good combo. Temp dropping quite fast now at 12 degrees , wind steady at 5 - 6mph with gusts to 15 - 20 mph.
