No thunder heard here BUT the heavy rain quickly turned to hail then huge fat flakes of SNOW for 15 mins, settled on grass,rooftops & cars...Roads look a slushy mess!!

Squall line announced itself with a big roll of thunder here in Uxbridge, with heavy rain and horizontal winds for a brief spell sending all the leaves flying sideways. Darkness has reduced now to grey skies and rain.

SNOW DEPTH CUP

 

Just popping this up again.

 

If any of you havnt entered yet and would like to, just drop a post in here or pm me. Anybody that hasnt entered yet will need to get their entry in by 10.00 p.m Friday 21st November, to give Chris Mantle time to enter all participating members on to spreadsheets.

 

Have been in contact with Chris and owing to the number of entries, have changed  the format to the following:  

 

North Thames region comprising of Groups 1,2,3 & 4, split alphabetically.

 

South Thames region comprising of Groups 1,2,3 & 4 split alphabetically.

 

Top 2 from each group going forward to form 2 Groups of 8, as follows:

 

Group A: N.Thames. Gr.1 1st & 2nd, Gr.2 1st & 2nd. S.Thames Gr.3 1st & 2nd, Gr.4 1st & 2nd.

 

Group B: S.Thames. Gr.1 1st & 2nd, Gr.2 1st & 2nd. N.Thames Gr.3 1st & 2nd, Gr.4 1st & 2nd.

 

Grand Final : Winner Group A v. Winner  Group B.

 

You can view a list of members that have entered so far in post 22, for the North Thames region and post 41, for the South Thames region.

 

Sorry but no trying to sneak in todays dustings from the region, into your snow depth totals, we aint ready yet! Posted Image

It was all over within 10 minutes but great while it lasted. Some wet snow on the back edge for a couple of minutes. It's on it's way to you now Robin.Posted Image

Thunder, Lightning, Inch of Hail, constant rain... went very dark, and is now raining.

Just checking my overnight data from my weather station and I think the batteries are on their way out. Once the temp reached 1'C it stayed fixed (as did wind and humidity) until it warmed up to above 1'C then it started reporting data again :( Argh effort to get to it!
