My mum and dad had to put down their golden retriever Charlie after her heart all but gave out a few weeks back - quite upsetting for them. I can't imagine the say it comes when I lose my cat - only had him 2.5 years, so hopefully many many more to come.

Looking forward to next weekend's weather - I want to test out the new 4x4 :)

Big Joe B. has been banging on for a while now, about a similar pattern for December as 1983. don't mind that, January 1984 produced the goods for southern england.Posted ImagePosted Image

Just got in from a Tesco finest festive food tasting event....I'm totally stuffed now (and two glasses of champagne later - hic) I think I've sampled most of their Christmas goodies...I'm going to snooze it off now in front of the telly - just saw this on Facebook so feeling ready for season greetings and winter now ....

For those who don't like to visit the "boiling cauldron" that is the MOD thread, I posted the following in the winter thread this morning and it still rings true as to how most would view the future developing.

My sentiments exactly, let's get the colder snow inducing air in and see what happens. Might only be a temporary spell, but then again, might not be, I still see no SW flow until god knows when.

not been out today, well apart from going to the post box.  Had a full day in and loving it. Just me, myself and I, sad but true.

Mine are being very good, Smokey is sitting in front of the tv and appears to be engrossed in some old film, I think its a Christmas Carol, Benny has been sat on my lap wrapped in the end of my fleece and being stroked most of the afternoon.

My old male bird Busby was very person friendly too ( he would nibble your nose ) miss him loads.

Used to have a barn owl that sat on the curtain rail above the TV and hid behind the sofa to eat ( we had a freezer full of frozen day old chicks as food that we had to keep from the cats when left out to defrost).
