Morning Lloyd.

You've got to go with the professionals opinion on health I'm afraid!

Now, from a complete non-professional at anything, here is what the charts think is in store for Sunday for the boot sale (at this time of year??)

Rain first thing

Posted Image

with maybe a short period without any late morning:

Posted Image

back again in the afternoon:

Posted Image

If you don't like that GFS overview, take the Met O one as they have no rain until early evening onwards Posted Image

Posted ImageMet O.PNG

I guess you'll be out and about early for a boot sale, don't forget if your taking a gazebo or other form of wet weather protection, the winds will be cranking up through the day (as Saturday) and you could see gusts of 25 to 35 mph as the day wears on.

I hope you make a bob or two Posted Image

Thanks Robin

Its actually my sale so not selling anything....Its on a car park at Leigh station so we go all year round.....or not depending on the weather lol

The puppies experienced rain for the first time today, can’t say they liked it very much but did still manage to run around and wear each other out. Back in their bed now!

All depends,who's flying the plane?

And who's rowing the boat ? oh yes and are these trips free?

I'm not sure, but it's Emily's turn next week:

Gale-force winds of up to 90mph have been tipped to hit Britain before Christmas.

A so-called Storm Emily could spread across the country from the middle of next week, forecasters have warned.

Experts from the Weather Channel have named the storm after Victorian author Emily Brontë – the woman who wrote Wuthering Heights, and who died 165 years ago next Thursday. However, the Met Office insists pre-Christmas conditions remain uncertain, beyond expecting this weekend to be generally wet and windy. A large area of high pressure is expected to shift from central and southern Europe towards Britain from today.

Southern England should remain dry and bright tomorrow, with northern areas wetter and windier, while gales hit north-west Scotland, the Weather Channel suggested. From Monday onwards, the north could be brighter and the south rainier – only for a sunny Tuesday to offer brief respite before worsening conditions. Weather Channel meteorologist Leon Brown said: ‘From Thursday to Christmas there is a high risk of gales. ‘At the moment there is a 30 to 40 per cent risk of severe gales for central and southern Britain on Thursday. ‘Worst case is 70 to 90mph gusts across exposed parts of Wales and the south, but even 70mph gusts for central Britain would cause a lot of disruption.’

Afternoon all

Bit of a dull day here too, was suprised at the breeze when I left the office and then it started to put in a bit of light dizzle as well, nothing much mind, quite mild out too.

Well it is Friday, so that means I may treat myself to a 4 pack from the offy tonight, one more day of work to go (from home) tomorrow then a few days off, which is fine as I have selected a number of pictures I have taken recently to use as templates for some scenic artwork.

Cold and wet here today, wind about the same as it has been all week. Been quite warm and sunny most of the week here, with a light mist in the mornings. There was a frost on tuesday moning. Our first and only one so far.

Hey Coast. You have gone down in my opinion tut tut tut. I can't believe you could even contemplate eating dog :-D My word I'm hanging big time, had my work Christmas party last night, got home at 4 this morning (much to Mrs LeighD's disgust) up at 6.30 am to get my children ready for school. Walked them to school - no way could I drive, and stumbled into work for 10 am. Got caught by my boss having a snooze in my office this afternoon. I now have to join the rest of the public on out glorious transport system..... I'm never drinking again :-) until tomorrow when I have another social gathering. To keep this post on topic - It feels a tad warmer than the last few days, and a few spits and spots of rain are starting to fall. I wish it was freezing cold though, as I could hide the fact I'm shaking due to the cold weather and not last nights / this morning alcohol.... Haha

Well i got my MRI results back and they now want me to see a spinal surgeon (not impressed at all).....

L

Sorry to hear that Lloyd. That's a road I have travelled and beyond, going as far as having major surgery done. Hopefully you will have other options, I wish you well fella.Posted Image

Weather wise here, the last few days of thick fog and mist have been replaced by a blanket of dull grey cloud, drizzle, and light  rain this afternoon and evening. Always a plus side though, I haven't had to put the heating on today. Have a good weekend folks. Posted Image

Hi chilly

I have had a few done.

I think to know what to expect is a good idea as the noises are loud and weird.

I watched an MRI scanner running on you tube and I think I may have wondered if it was normal or not and been scared if I hadn't of seen it.hope this helps x
