Thought I heard a rumble of thunder, a few minutes ago, here in Chislehurst!

Some very impressive fork lightning for a few minutes, has slowed down a bit now, but plenty more rain to come looking at the radar, so let's hope for some more strikes eh?

Wahey!! My 2,000th post!! Nice weather for it!!

4 flashes and bangs so far here near Croydon, probably more active than any storms last summer!

More long, low growling-type thunder here!

We just had some rain here as the band passed through (not aware of any T&L), and now it has passed it seems a lot cooler.

No mention of it on Look East that I remember (was only half paying attention to it as was reading at the time).

WOW.calm here.

We discovered though that the pilot light on the gas is out so I guess it happened in the strong wind last night, its happened before when it was windy.

I've also just remembered that I asked Southernman to go and see if anything had happened at about 1am this morning, as Smokey and Benny woke up and started crying, they never do that as like all birds they sleep when its dark and wake up when its light.Southernman couldn't see anything wrong but I wonder if there was a particularly strong gust of wind which frightened them or something, and maybe that's what put the pilot light out.
