Southernman says its very very cold at Reedham.

Sad about news of Schumacher which really isn't looking good now.

I heard he hasn't got life threatening injuries.

Temperature rising rapidly (yay....) here, 1.9C just half hour ago, now 3.4C.

Brrrrr!! Just been over to the shop and it's freeeeeeezing out there. Very slippery underfoot as well in the less sheltered areas. Plus....there's a breeze picking up. Start of things, perhaps? :O

He's been operated on, so they're probably going to keep him in an induced coma for some time in order to prevent further damage.

Is that looking as if it might cause higher wind speeds than the storm just before Christmas JP?

Southernman has come home and said there are some frosty areas around and he slid the car on one but is ok,

I have been talking to friends in London, they are becoming worried at the forecast for New Year's Eve or Day, they said they saw the forecast on one of the news channels, so I'm not sure which they were watching.

waiting for tomorrow's storm first.

Had enough of this windy weather. So far have had to have the roof repaired twice, 2 fence panels and 3 posts re done, remove a small tree that came down from elderly neighbours garden into ours. Hubby has refused to repair the other side fence panels that went with the last wind until this current windy period passes and the lawn has become a bog garden.

I'm now ready to skip snow and move straight to some warm sunny days please

Hopefully the nae and euro4 18z models are wrong, the little kink in the iso bars causing tonight's storm is a full low in them from about 6am. Just off the coast of Wales/Cornwall.
