According to the MO weather app I am due a snow shower Sunday morning but Princetown higher up gets rain. Someone playing silly buggers?

Such an extreme difference in feel from one morning to the next!

Yesterday I needed t-shirt, jumper, fleece and thick winter coat to feel warm enough before 09.00, then today at 07.00 I only needed t-shirt and fleece!

Bright at the moment after recent sharp showers, 10.1c!

Alexis just mentioned thunder twice and thunderstorms once in one forecast, all for tomorrow :)

Yup - Looking interesting tomorrow! :Dhttp://forum.netweather.tv/topic/78838-convective-storm-discussion-22nd-december-2013-2014-onwards/page-12#entry2896434

8.4mm today, looking lively tomorrow, which if we can't get proper snow, is a good 2nd for me. NAE Accumulation forecast certainly suggest showers are incoming from the SW

Have now had 152.3mm so far this month. What's the January average for our region?

According to the below link, the wettest every January in Bournemouth received 186.4mm of rain, that could easily be beaten this January

Single strike by the looks of it:

Yes, Coast, just showed the one on the NW radar too.  Lucky me?

This month's rainfall to date is 157mm which is already 165% of average, taken from 2000-2013, and is already the wettest January in that time.

Be in Torcross by midday for fish and chips at the Start Bay inn. Then onto Dartmouth for a 3-night stay.

Guess the weather is going to be much same as forecast for Bristol over next few days?

Sounds great! :)Lots of showers today, banding as well. Tomorrow, showers shouldn't be quite as widespread but still plenty about before more general rain pushes up from the south, making Saturday a bit of a wet day, and then a return to showers again on Sunday.

It does look a bit tasty today. There's all sorts all around already.

12mm so far here, torrential at times, with hail mixed in. :)

Make that 14mm - 45mm/hr rate.

I am readily thinking this could be my wettest ever month since getting my first rain gauge in 2006.

The current leader is Nov 2009 with 213mm while this month until first thing today was at 157.5mm and there have been downpours since then with more to come for the rest of today, tomorrow and Sunday with a likely very wet period tomorrow night into Saturday!!!Surely it's not out of the question that another 57mm could fall by the end of the weekend to break the record with 12 days to spare!!

Down town earlier at about 12:30PM and it lashed down, confirmed that there had been a thunderclap amongst it and am not surprised. More surprising is the fact that this storm makes it the fourth Thunder heard day event this year, crazy stuff. Posted Image

Up to 18mm now.. This evening looks like being worse. I'm close to beating my January record and we've only just made it halfway lol

I'm still surprised that no warning has been issued by the MO, I know it's localised but they usually issue a yellow for such events.
