Not snowing here yet but that wind is really strong. On the drive home there was wheelie bins all over the place!

We had back edge snow on the front which has just moved through. Let the fun now begin. Good luck to everybody today and I hope everybody gets a touch which I think they will. Some will get more than others obviously but if we all goet a decent covering the very brief mild air Thursday eve to late fri should thaw it to much. Could stick around as from sat eve up to at least mid week look very cold with more snow chances.

Shouldn't thaw it too much that is!

Looking at the Omagh weather station and temps have dropped from 2℃ to 1℃ in last hour with dew points at -0.9℃. Radar showing some tasty showers arriving imminently.

Showers arriving quickly and moving fast across the country.  Looks like more organised rain patterns for later this afternoon and with the precipitation moving as quickly as it is there shouldn't be any issue with easten parts getting in on the action.

Quick scan of the model thread looks promising until mid next week with Saturday and Sunday looking even colder than next couple of days.

the showers should get right across the country, the clouds are racing across the sky. due to the strong westerly winds.

Yes - now snowing in Belfast!

What part of Belfast are you in? We got a really light sleety/snow shower last maybe 10mins in North Belfast (Yorkgate area)

Just travelling through the east of the city on the way in to work - the shower started as sleet then turned to snow for about 5 minutes, then back to sleet again - great to see - bodes well for later on!

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zm18Nhm68BHc.kYeDz-ei4HOY kindly posted by weathermaster in the Scottish thread. Weather stations dotted around Ireland

Thanks for sharing this the map is a large collection of all known weather stations. Ireland has about 175 weather stations on the map some are official Met stations and others personal stations. Almost everywhere on Ireland has a weather station on the map and most of them update live or at least hourly. I hope you all find this a useful tool for checking out your local weather or quickly finding access to a station somewhere else.

Clear blue skies here, cold strong gusting wind and currently 3 degrees, after a high over night of 9.3. Not expecting much until at least the weekend from this, but all surprises are very welcome!!!
