The radar show another shower coming in the next 5 minutes. The temp is now 1.8C, so hopefully this one will be mainly snow.

To my untrained eye the showers appear to be packing in a bit more tightly and forming into bands rather than individual showers. Hopefully things will start to pick up soon and with the sun setting will start to lay at lower and lower levels.

Another really heavy shower here now....showers seem to be merging giving good heavy falls.  Tomorrow again is starting to look interesting.

MetO have been pretty spot on so far in terms of timings.

I think things will pick up rightly Mountain Shadow as sun sets.  Settling snow will decrease temps again.

Just sleet again, plenty more on the way though. Could be a long evening/night!

*Isn't envious at all*

Ok, so here I am on my day off, religiously watching the radar, hoping that some showers may blow over from Ireland, past Wales and into Oxford.

I know it's a long shot, but can everyone in this thread go outside and blow the showers South East so they make it here?

Pleeeaaaseeee.

The last shower left a little more snow but its turning into slush already. After dark should produce something better.

Holy crap...don't think iv seen a blizzard this intense in my lifetime. Didn't expect the wind to be so strong. Within 15 mins it has drifted up the window sill to glass level.

The start of good things to come?

Good stuff! Hopefully that will be the case for us all in the next few hours! Just had the heaviest hail shower of the day, winds really gusty during the shower!

Just after a very hefty sno shower here, went very dark then all of a sudden bright white outside due to it beginning to lye. Stopped now and melted again but heaviest snow shower since 2010.

Hold your phone long ways when taking pic and that will sort it.
