nothing mentioned on MetO for tomorrow or next week, saw quite a few thunder symbols between monday and thursday but there is nothing mentioned for the West Midlands forecast.

The NMM 4KM is showing a lot of showers for England and Wales from midnight >

The NMM 3KM shows hail symbols mixed in on the precip charts. Although, looking at the GFS ELT's, the coldest air aloft stays out to the west.

MetO still showing quite a few thunder symbols in the west over the next but still doesnt have any mention in their forecasts about any storms which is surprising especially since Aberystwyth along with others at the time l looked had the symbol over them for quite a few hours.

OMFG!!!! My house or something very close by has just been struck by lighning! There I was watching highlights of F1, then bang, there goes my Internet, but the power in our power hasn't tripped very strange.

Anyway just stopped shaking!

Didn't even know we had any chance of storms tonight, serves me right for switching to winter mode lol

Saw flashes over in the far distance about half an hour to an hour ago and now I'm sure it was convective things and not fireworks. Looks good for the next few hours though everything seems to have died off at the moment.

I'll have a little wait and then if nothing I think it's time for bed :-)

Same here in Christchurch, I'm a little on edge as we had our virgin box destroyed last night by what i can only describe as the most powerful bolt of lightning

i have ever witnessed in my life! it hit a public toilet about 15 yards away! and has knocked out a lot of peoples internet, as well as traffic and street lights,

It even made the news lol

Slow news day here in Christchurch!

Looking at my vid, I took a quick screenshot. There is a better frame but I cannot manage to get it again on my phone...

I don't know what to think, but do you see what I see?
