Possible warm start with a Europe or Scandinavian blocking High Pressure system constantly holding Atlantic systems out to the West. I then guess that the block to the East will be forced to retrogress towards Greenland near the end of the month as a developing Scandinavian trough provides an exceptionally cold and unstable Northerly for the UK with snow showers. (Although, I admit, that's what I hope will happen )
