Not expecting anything here tonight. When I first looked at the radar I though the game was on, but the fronts moving north are loosing intensity from the east. I can now understand why the warnings weren't for here. Good luck guys in the west, you have done pretty well this winter considering the synopsis we have had.

Front looks like it is ever so slightly slowing up. Looks like leeds might be in the sweet spot for once! Even if it pushed through at the current rate, there's a good hour and a half of moderate snow to look forward to :)

Yep, the front is fizzling out from the East, so I think anywhere east of about Lincoln is going to be out of luck.  Story of the winter so far really.

Guys any idea what that lot is behind the current snow...wales and midlands reporting rain...is it going to catch up and stay as snow ?

It seems such a long time ago that I was able to post snow settling on this thread. It will be two years in March.lets hope we have a biting easterly or northerly during February.

A distinct lack of northerlys and easterlys over the past few winters are to blame for this.

Yes it's in Morley very light flakes but it's covering on a very cold surface still got snow patches from Saturday Night in places

Got off the bus 5 minutes after i posted and it started. Very low dew point presumably because even with very light snow it's settling. Definitely picking up strength now though.

Yes snowing and laying here.

Took this video last night just when it started snowing. I've got a 4k ultra HD camera so hopefully it captures the snow really well.

I think it looks good, but not sure what it should look like 😂

Snow: http://youtu.be/MTCi1yo45Fc

I'm quite happy with how detailed the flakes looks. Does anyone have a similar camera?

Click 4k on the video if you Can or 1080p

😃

Snow turning a bit 'snizzly' here. Even a hint of some melting on the pavement.

Need some heavier stuff to come through so the temperature can drop and we can get some proper laying snow.

Lets hope anyway!
