the showers

No it didn't.

It headed across the Pennines from a NE direction and then as if it saw something it didn't like, it decided to veer south before dying out.

Maybe next time.

Looks good for pennine areas some places scooping 6-9cm.... Most likely if at all a dusting....

I'd be surprised if we see 6-9mm in the next day or so but stranger things have happened.

And apparently the showers currently falling across Leeds are of rain.

Yeah it's called southerly correction and is compulsory when snow is forecast.

Diane's snow dome ...speak of the devil ..............

It took here at least 15 seconds to mention the word mild and I'm pretty sure she didn't repeat it again.

Must be an ice age on the way.

I think it was city centre where it was raining so I suppose we can't read a lot into what falls on the Pennines.

Here in the North West it's not just the chance of snow we are clinging on to, it seems to be every type of weather available.

We really do seem to be bore fest central when it comes to weather and always on the edge of anything severe.

In the meantime though I've just had my couple of flakes so that's another day I can add to my ever increasing number of days with snow falling this winter.

The most flakes I'm going to see here on the Wirral will be my cornflakes in the morning.

Lol Mokidugway just seen your post!

tiny specks of snizzle falling at a rate of one particular per every 40 seconds or so... and that's only by observing through binonulars at a particular light source i.e. lamp-post...

...can this be classed as 'snowing' lol
