Bit of rain, bit of snow, some hail, bit of sleet. It's covering the roads and paths quite nicely now.

How much snow do you have?

More showers lining up on radar so could be a good day.

Are you out of Appleby near the Fells?

Andy

Yeah were in a little village.at the bottom of Orton scar. Always out are up unless you head towards appleby but that has ice/lying water problems and in the wrong direction for anything. I keep trying to upload pics but it just won't do it off my kindle. It's hard to say about how much as it looks more because of wind banking it up behind wall backs ect.

It's all fluffy white goodness here, the marginality has been crossed.  Just need the showers to keep up.

If your thinking of coming over the M62 from Yorkshire.... think again!...

We needed lower air temps for any snow to hang around, currently temps here have rose from 1.6c to 2.2c in the space of 30 minutes and the slight covering is thawing slowly. It's very similar to last week in terms of temps and DP's around here and I wouldn't be surprised if most of this turns to sleet/rain as we move towards midday.

Radar looks epic! Check out that streamer all the way across the Irish Sea. Heavy snow here settling on all surfaces :-)

Snow that settles and then starts to thaw when the showers stop isn't my idea of a decent cold spell! Temp fell to 0.9c in the shower and is now on the rise, DP 0c. hoping for something better from the northerly, the uppers & dew points will be colder and looks like there will be embedded troughs in the flow at times enhancing the snow risk.
