Where in Stockport are you.

I'm in Cheadle Heath.

I work on Bird Hall Lane, not far away.

Live down Matlock way though, so the journey home later is going to be even more interesting than the journey in this morning :D

It's such a shame that now it is finally properly snowing, so much that it can't not stick, but it will all be gone by the time I finish work today looking at the weather reports! :(

Temps have dropped from 2oC a few hours ago to 0oC in Mancs now, snow stopped for ten minutes but now started again. Lots of ppn heading in from Irish sea, hopefully it continues to make it here (and other parts of region!)

Stopped for the last 20 mins in Oldham, crashes all over the place in the Town Centre, I thought Albanians and Romanians would be able to drive in the snow. Most buses now stopped and College in Town centre been closed.......all for a bout 1" of snow.............crazy!!

Snow showers arent long or heavy enough to get a good covering.

Half an hours heavy snow was enough to shut the school I work at. Snow day!

They are here. Had an hour of hail/grauple. That is the foundation for this snow

No point going into sixth form. We will just be thrown in a room for two hours, just to be told we can go home. The Metrolink has also stopped, the roads are treacherous and it's starting to snow again as I speak.

Might as well stay at home with a cup of tea and some McVites chocolate digestives!

To call what we've had in Preston overnight and this morning "snow" is a bit of an insult really.  There is a slight covering of hail/snow on the grass and slush on the roads etc. But i suppose it did snow so thats the 3 year drought broken at least.

This really was the ideal set up for us to get snow here, looks like the wind modification of the temps was just too great for us here at least.

I know, and they keep alternating to sleety stuff, which doesn't help
