Well, after peaking at 30.4c earlier in the day, we are now at 30.6c.

Awesome stuff.

30.1c here. 3-4 degrees above what was forecast.

Doesn't feel that humid yet so its rather pleasant getting home from work cracking open a cold beer! :)

Those Lyme Bay showers are getting close, but not sure they will actually produce anything.  Keeping an eye on the movement of the CI storms.

28.6C at 15:45 today. Not bad on recent standards. Clouding over a bit now as that mid level stability over Brest earlier moves North and expands.

Some high level showers (i.e. evaporating before reaching the ground) are visible in the distance here and lots of altocumulus castellanus now appearing.

Yes I'm sat in the garden admiring the mid-high level instability to the W and NW which has gone against all forecasts, nothing was forecast to be possible until later in the night yet here we are with showers from it in the evening and a fairly active storm in the Channel. Interestingly the cloud is moving from the SW when the wind has been a SEly all day.

We could yet have an extremely interesting night and I don't mean just temperature wise! Still 25.1c now.

Nothing reached the ground from those first 'shower' clouds and the CI storms appear to be moving SW/NE and away from here.

Very much the same sort of view in the skies here, Mapantz, possibly slightly more cover in the last half hour.

Yep, this is forming to the north now. Just east of Salisbury...

I'm moving to the IOW, I just give in 30mls away and every time (expletives deleted) the rain and the storms go over the IOW.

What is wrong with hitting Dorset just ONCE?

The cloud that move in from Lyme Bay had one positive effect here, a rather good sunset.

I look to my east and watch the storm that never touched us move away to the NE. I look to my west and in a clear night sky a perfect view of Venus & Jupiter shining brightly. Damn weather.
