It's climbed up to 17C here, making it the warmest day of the year! What a lovely Easter Sunday today has been.

Was a foggy/misty start to the day. Had a bit of sun in the afternoon but now cold damp and foggy again.

Like many a misty start, with cloud taking a long while to break, but when it did around mid afternoon temps climbed significantly and it felt very pleasant under blue skies and sunshine, however, it was shortlived and the cloud and mist crept back in by 7pm making for a rather gloomy dusk.

Foggy starts in the summer are usually the sign of a very warm excellent blue sky day, however, at this time of year the sun is still not quite strong enough to burn it off quickly, in a months time and a similar set up would see the fog/mist quickly burnt off by mid morning.

Tomorrow will probably see a similar start but I'm hopeful the mist/cloud will be clear by lunchtime and less of a misty/cloudy evening.

Quite an interesting time-lapse today... fog to low cloud, to mid-level cloud, to clear skies. Also notice the fire later on in the afternoon too.

BBC have massively overestimated the amount of cloud around the UK. The easterly element to bring cloud in from the North Sea just wasn't there and it's only isolated coastal areas that have kept the cloud all day. Here in Livepool it's been clear and sunny since about 12pm, just like yesterday.

The sky looks strange as even though it is foggy the sky is pink and orange

I can hear the boat on the Mersey sounding its fog horn. Sounds eerie

All of the foggy rubbish is re-forming. That means tomorrow morning is almost certainly going to be cloudy...

Sunny today in West Derby. Sounds like the cloud failed to burn away nearer the coast.
