Nice sunset tonight ...attachicon.gifimage.jpg

After a cloudy morning and decent sunny afternoon, cloud returned for the evening here so no nice sunset in my part of the region.

Felt warm in the sunshine but cool when the cloud returned.

A very decent day after an air frost with plenty of sunshine and blue skies with virtually no wind. Temperatures nothing special, max of 12 degrees.

Not as cool this evening as yesterday current temp 7.9 degrees. Next few days promise dry weather but more cloud and a bit of wind, average maxes and cool nights. Mean temps here probably not too far above the April average so far I suspect compared to CET zone which has been heavily skewed by southern stations.

Spring growth is further behind than last year, but about average, the traditional mid April burst of dandelions is occurring and hedgerows are filling green.

Still 11C here. A much milder night than what was expected...

Another decent days weather, coolish under cloud but warm enough with the sun out.

Tomorrow is looking like a cracker for the region with more in the way of sunshine although it looks like a nagging easterly breeze may just spoil the feel of the day.

Sunday is now showing the chance of a few showers.........from an easterly of all places but all in all, a usable weekend is on the cards.

Interesting how cloud layers moved in different directions

I like how the upper level winds seem to cause the clouds to ripple...

Bright, breezy and cold start to the day but at least it's dry so a good chance to get out for a walk before jobs in the garden when it warms up a bit.

A couple of hours walk in near perfect conditions of both weather and visibility.

After a swift brew, part two of the day awaits with shed painting high on the list of jobs to do.

water colour or oils ??.

Water based in one of the light blue colours that is supposed to remind us of New England.

Hopefully it will do what is says on the tin.

Did my summer house in this colour ,I think it's nice ...attachicon.gifimage.jpg

Looks good on the photo.

Started mine last autumn but ran out of paint and by the time I'd got another tin it was to late so left it over the winter.

Just been finishing the rear off now and might paint around the frames in a different colour myself.

TBH it's a summerhouse but really ends up as nothing but a store for garden furniture but at almost 10 years old, painting has given it a new lease of life.
