Stunning days weather and although a bit cool in the shade, it felt warm in the sun.

It was certainly a better day than what the models were showing earlier in the week and this was one downgrade from snow potential that I'm glad happened.

At least the garden looks better after a day spent tidying up.

Not much gardening done been trying to fix chainsaw pull cord ,will have to buy apart :)...

I could have done with a chain saw myself. I've cut some conifers down but need to get the trunks down to ground level now and there's a limit to what a bow saw can do.

Even thought about buying one of those on offer at a certain German supermarket but after this week probably wouldn't use it again this year.

A very decent day just one very light hail shower but otherwise dry with lots of sunshine and it felt pleasant in it despite a cold N wind. However, in the shade it felt very chilly.

 

Current temp 3.4 degrees. Air frost quite likely tonight.

RADAR showing the trough starting to move into the NW with accompanying sleet & snow as it pools further cold air down from Iceland, GFS has a spell of snow for Buxton overnight and into late tomorrow morning.

And not just high ground the low gound could see some sleet and

Snow in any heaviet bursts of PPN, awful just awful.

Mean time unbroken sunshine continues and feels warm in

The sun, unfortunately not long now to the transition to cold

Rubbish.

Showers have arrived.

Shame as I was looking forward to another couple of hours in the garden but it looks like I'm swapping it for a night in front of the telly.

Starting to look snowy, cant believe its only 2030 and its dark - yes there are snow flakes, better go and move my geraniums in!!

Yes we wait all winter for snow and just as all you want is the feel of warm sunshine, you get huge flakes instead.

Never has the saying four seasons in one day seemed more true than today.

Awoke to a hard frost and a warm sun, quite strange feeling.. A mostly dry but chilly day with a cold N wind despite abundant sunshine. This evening has seen one or two showers nothing too heavy. Current temp a chilly 4.7 degrees. Fells have a fresh cover of snow.
